Member Meetings

Wednesday February 1st, 8:00 am: First morning member meeting. Bring money for dues and t-shirts. Membership is $7, t-shirts are $20, and if you pay for both at the same time, it's only $25! We will be meeting in the Foundations classroom. Donuts, orange juice, and sausage biscuits will be provided!

Thursday February 2nd, 5:00 pm: First evening member meeting. We will accept dues and t-shirt money at this time, also. We'll have a pizza dinner for everyone along with icebreakers!

Tuesday February 6th: T-shirt & dues payment deadline. Ashlea will not be taking payments after this date.

 

Denton Arts & Jazz Festival

Monday, January 30th: Heema and Catherine will begin putting out boxes to collect used water bottles and magazines for the art project we'll be making with the children at the Arts & Jazz festival. Please donate what you can and if you'd like to volunteer to help with the boxes, please refer to our contact page to get more information from Heema or Catherine.

April 27th-29th: The Denton Arts & Jazz Festival is a wonderful opportunity to work with children and we will need a lot of help! Plan to spare a day that weekend to volunteer. More details to come.

 

Art Nights

Thursday March 29th 5:30-7:30: A Night with the Arts at Olive Stephens Elementary. Located at 133 N Garza Rd. in Shady Shores, TX 76208. Students will come and go during the evening and there will be an estimated 100-300 kids to work with.

Thursday April 12th: Art Night at Rasor Elementary School in Plano with Rebecca Schaefer. Contact Rebecca at rebecca.schaefer@pisd.edu. Thursday April 19th 6:30-8:30 pm: Art Night in Richardson at MST Elementary School. Please visit risd.org to complete a background check to be eligible to volunteer; this must be done as soon as possible. We will need some volunteers with a background in ceramics who can help handling clay on a pottery wheel. You can contact Laura.Fitzgerald@richardson.k12.tx.us to volunteer.
